6 Favorite Grab-and-go Organic Snacks for Kids

There is nothing I enjoy more than cooking for my little one! I have always had a passion for healthy cooking. I love experimenting in the kitchen and trying new recipes especially now that Adrian is 15 months old. I love to prepare him with different foods and see his little face when he tries something new for the first time. I usually try to do all my prepping and cooking at the beginning of the week. That way I can make sure he will always have a delicious and healthy meal or snack especially when we need to run.

However, as all moms understand, life can get pretty crazy especially with a 15-month-old, which is why I am so grateful that there are so many great grab & go snacks options on the market to chose from.

Yes, there is nothing better than cooking from scratch for your little one but trust me, this new healthy grab and go snacks are packed with nutrients and the majority of the baby brands are now using organic ingredients. Goodbye pesticides!

The 6 Best Organic Snacks for Kids

From all the great options and not so great options out there I have selected my favorite six on-the-go snacks. For this, I took into account whether they were organic or not, the veggies and fruit ratio, the amount of sugar and the convenience.

1. Plum Organics Pure Pouches

Plum Organics are my son’s favorite pouches. They have no added sugars. Bonus points they are one of the cheapest baby organic brands in the market.

2. Stonyfield’s Whole Milk Yogurt Pouch

Stonyfield products are made with all organic ingredients. These yogurt pouches are a great breakfast alternative when you are on the go. They do have cane sugar but most of the sugar comes from the fruit.

3. Perfect Kids

I am a big fan of Perfect Bar–in fact I have one of their bars every morning before my workout. That is why I was so excited when I heard they were launching a new bar just for kids. Made with freshly ground peanut butter, organic honey, and oats. Each bar has 7 grams of protein plus eight superfoods.

4. Harvest Snaps (Green Pea Snack Crisps)

Not only are Harvest Snaps really yummy, but their fiber and protein content is very good too. Although these are not a good option if your kid has any dairy sensitivity.

5. My Super Cookies

All my family loves this cookie. They are organic, whole grain and low sugar. You get about 6-8 grams of sugar per bag which is pretty good compared to all the cookies and snacks out there that are loaded with sugar.

6. Justin’s Nut Butter Packs

I love Justin’s single serving size packs. Pair this with a banana and you have a complete meal. Most of their products are made simply with nuts and organic palm fruit oil. They also offer a nice variety such as their chocolate almond butter and honey almond butter. Definitely a great alternative to Nutella!
